Hindu temples at Essen near Dussledorf
There is a beautiful Hindu temple at Essen

ITs easy to reach the Temple by Public transport /
Get down at Essen HBf and take essen west exit. The bus stop is right outside the exit door.
you will arrive under the bridge (which will also be a good protection against cold and rain)
there are two buses
Bus 155 has a frequency of about 15 minutes on Weekends (till about 5 pm in summer)
get down at Corner of Gerlingstrasse, take a left on the Burggrafenstr and walk for about 300 mts.
bus 166 has a frequency of about 30 minutes from Essen Banhof
get down at Burggrafenstr. bus stop (about 5 stops) and walk straing back on the road, cross two signals (about 500 mts) and you reach the temple/
i was informed that the temple opens on weekends, Mondays , Tuesdays and Thursday
The temple has Sheevling, idols of shankar-parvati, ganeshjee, maataajee, ram-laxman-jaanki , hanumaanee and radha-krishna.
you are advised to check temple timings with them.
Generally on sunday the temple opens at about 11, Aarti is about 3:00 and Prasad (langar) from 3:30 onwards. temple closes about 7:00 pm however most people leave by 5:00 pm.
On Saturdays the Temple opens around 3:00 PM and aarti is around 3:30.
temple would be open for longer period during festival days like Diwali , ram navami , janmashthmi , Navaratri etc
The Temple has been built with dedication and efforts by The Hindus migrated from Afghanistan many years back.
